Referral Process
This is a national public service and referrals are welcomed from medical professionals (i.e. Consultant Paediatrician/Neonatologist, Consultant Neurosurgeons, GPs and Area Medical Officers ) for the following conditions:
- Craniosynostosis - single suture
- Craniosynostosis- craniofacial syndromes
- Torticollis
- Growth Disorders e.g. congenital micrognathia
- Facial Clefts
- Facial Asymmetry
- Encephaloceles
- Craniofacial Tumours
- Craniofacial Trauma
All referrals must be accompanied by photographs failure to do so will result in a delay in triaging /rejection of referral.
PLEASE NOTE: WHEN FORWARDING REFERRAL & IMAGES – PLEASE FOLLOW UP WITH A PHONE CALL TO ENSURE WE HAVE RECEIVED SAME , WE REQUIRE 6 PHOTOS IN TOTAL – IT IS RECOMMEND TO SEND 3 MAILS WITH 2 PHOTOS ON EACH TO AVOID IMAGES BOUNCING.

Checklist:
- Completed Referral Form
- Send 6 Photographs ( in 3 separate emails)
- Follow up with a phone call to check we have received.
Please complete our Referral Form and email to craniofacial@childrenshealthireland.ie, to complete referral attach 6 photographs as per the photo guide above and email separately to craniofacial@childrenshealthireland.ie referencing patient name and DOB.
